The framework (shown above) provides a vision for pedestrian and bicycle connectivity to and from the district. Key infrastructure projects include:

  • A 10 foot wide multipurpose sidewalk/path along the east side of Warrensville Center Road
  • A 10 foot wide multipurpose sidewalk/path along the north side of Farnsleigh Road
  • A 10 foot wide multipurpose sidewalk/path along the north side of Van Aken Boulevard
  • A bikeway along old Northfield Road
  • Sharrows along new Northfield Road

Public Meetings

In 2016, the Planning Department held two public meetings to gather resident input about the plan. At the first meeting, attendees heard a presentation and participated in several feedback stations, including a "Mad Libs" exercise. The results of this meeting (PDF) were presented at the second public meeting.

The draft Connections Plan Pattern Book (PDF) was presented to the City Planning Commission and adopted by City Council in December 2016.
