Get Involved!

In the mid 1960’s, a determined group of Shaker residents, led by a PTA president and garden club member, successfully ran a campaign to prevent two eight-lane freeways from being built where the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes now stands.

Residents of this City have long been known for their involvement with, and commitment to their community. Working together is a heritage that continues today through many local organizations. Want to help make things happen here? There’s a place for you.
