The following list includes many resources for small business owners and entrepreneurs. Be sure to review them - many of these organizations offer grants, loans, and business education.

Shop-Shaker.com is a free mobile-enabled website that lists all Shaker businesses (even home-based) so that businesses and residents can focus their spending locally. Heights-Hillcrest Regional Chamber of Commerce
The City of Shaker Heights is a member of the Heights Hillcrest Regional Chamber of Commerce (HRCC). Membership benefits include networking events, professional development, health insurance, business referrals, energy savings and discounted office supplies. Members of the HRCC are also eligible to be affiliate members of the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE).

Advertise your business in Shaker Life Magazine which is published 4 times per year and distributed free to Shaker's 40,000 residents.

The Dealership
The Dealership, a former car dealership where deals are done, networks are created and collaborations are forged, is a shared office entrepreneurial hub at 3558 Lee Rd. The Bad Girl Ventures 9-week education program helps women starting or running a business get the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. Plus, the top 10 finalists from each class compete for a chance to at a $25,000 loan.

The Economic Community Development Institute
The Economic Community Development Institute is partnering with the City of Shaker Heights to extend our Ignition micro finance fund to fund small business working capital and marketing needs.

Hebrew Free Loan Association
The Hebrew Free Loan Association makes interest free loans to Northeast Ohioans.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses at Cuyahoga Community College is a practical business management education program that helps you develop the skills you need to grow your company. If you are selected to participate, you also will receive a series of one-on-one business advising sessions from dedicated professionals to help develop a tailored plan for growth.

Small Business Administration
Since its founding on July 30, 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration has delivered millions of loans, loan guarantees, contracts, counseling sessions, and other forms of assistance to small business. A new loan program created in partnership with Cuyahoga County and the Small Business Administration (SBA) is now available to Shaker Heights businesses that qualify for an SBA loan. The Ohio Small Business Development Centers Network is the premier technical assistance program for Ohio's small businesses. Please visit our local Ohio SBDC Center located in the Knowledge and Innovation Center at the Cleveland Heights Public Library at 2340 Lee Road.

Hispanic Business Center
The Hispanic Business Center is committed to providing professional and qualified consulting and group training services aimed at equipping business owners with the education they need to take informed business risks and make management decisions.

Shaker Business Women Roundtable
Shaker Business Women Roundtable is a group of female business owners in and around Shaker Heights. The group provides members with the opportunity to network, exchange experiences and discuss challenges of their business with other female business owners.
