Creative New Collaboration Supports Fire Safety in Shaker Heights
May 28, 2008: The City of Shaker Heights has formed an unusually “tasteful” partnership designed to promote fire safety for residents of the community.  On June 7th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. a new campaign, Partners in Prevention, kicks off a collaboration among the Shaker Fire Department, University Hospitals and Marco’s Pizza that promises to make homes safer with added gusto – a free delivered pizza.  Here’s how the new program works...

Memorial Day Weekend Shapes up in Shaker
May 16, 2008: Residents are invited to spend Memorial Day weekend outside with friends and neighbors.
  • Horseshoe Lake Park is the setting for a ribbon cutting with the Mayor and Council on Saturday, May 24 at 9:30 a.m. The annual pancake breakfast is scheduled inside the dramatically transformed park from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tours of the park and trails are scheduled at 9:45 and 10 a.m. Rain date: May 25.
