Support Services Bureau

The Support Services Bureau is supervised by Commander John Cole. The Bureau includes the following:

  • Investigation and Engagement Units, which provide case investigative services
  • Internal Affairs Unit
  • Jail Management Unit
  • Property Management Unit
  • Police Information Unit, which provides public information
  • Professional Standards Unit
  • Training and Development Unit

Support Services is responsible for the storage and dissemination of all the reports, citations, and documents generated by the police department. Personnel take great pride in assisting the public with requests for bike licenses, evidence and property, fingerprinting, the Home Watch program, and much more.

Property Management Unit

The Property Management Unit manages the efficient storage and retention of all evidence and personal property collected or confiscated as part of an investigation. The Property Custodian coordinates the release of property.

Jail Management Unit

The department operates a twelve-day holding facility. Jail staff can accommodate individual requests to visit a person being temporarily housed in the jail. Visits are limited to 15 minutes per date, and a maximum of 30 minutes per week.

Individuals requesting visitation are subject to search, and are required to provide valid identification and contact information prior to entry. 

Visiting Hours:

  • Monday & Tuesday, 7-8 pm
  • Wednesday & Saturday, 1-2 pm
  • Sunday, 4-5 pm
