Avoid Layoffs – SharedWork Ohio is a voluntary layoff aversion program that allows you to keep workers employed under reduced hours during times of reduced business activity, and ODJFS provides eligible individuals an unemployment insurance benefit proportionate to their reduced hours.

Ohio’s Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) deferred employer installment payments for Policy Year 2020 and sent two separate installments of dividends to Ohio employers to ease the economic impact of COVID-19. Dividends equal 100% of the premiums employers paid in policy years 2018 and 2019. Dividends are first applied to any unpaid balances.
