Great Deals for Shaker Shoppers June 2-4
More than 20 small businesses in Shaker Heights will be offering special promotions and giveaways to shoppers who visit between June 2 and June 4, in celebration of “Bee a Shaker Shopper” weekend. Sponsored by the City of Shaker Heights, Shaker Heights Development Corporation, and the Van Aken District, this festive weekend recaptures the buzz of excitement generated by a 1980s campaign called “Be a Shaker Shopper.”
Participating businesses will display a QR code in their stores where shoppers may enter a city-wide giveaway to win special prizes from Shaker businesses. The more shops visited, the greater the chance of winning giveaways. Businesses in both the Chagrin-Lee commercial district and the Greater Van Aken commercial district are participating. With warmer weather and graduations fast approaching, this buzzing weekend is sure to celebrate what makes shopping local so special.
