Note: This public hearing will be held at the start of the Council meeting.

In November 2000, Shaker Heights voters passed a ballot measure authorizing the City to form an opt out electric aggregation program on behalf of residents. The City worked with NOPEC to provide this program. Now the City is working to create its own 100 percent renewable electric aggregation program to be effective starting January 2023. The City will hold two public hearings for residents to learn more and ask questions about this proposed City-operated Electric Aggregation Program Plan of Operation and Governance  

The Plan of Operation and Governance will describe services provided, professional services used, determination of rates, opt-out procedures, customer billing procedures, credit procedures and customer account enrollment/termination procedures.
