The Shaker Heights Police Department will be assessed by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) as part of the re-accreditation process. The SHPD has been accredited by CALEA since 1989. The public is invited to submit comments on SHPD’s compliance with CALEA standards, service delivery, community engagement, and overall candidacy for accredited status.
