The week of June 19, the cities of Shaker Heights and Beachwood will start a culvert replacement project at the intersection of Green and Bryden roads. This culvert allows Mill Creek to flow underneath the intersection. The current culvert is in need of replacement, a project that will help reduce flooding in this area. The project is anticipated to take four months. Please note that the intersection of Green and Bryden roads will be closed for the duration of the project.
Motorists should follow posted signage to the detour, which is as follows:
- SOUTHBOUND ON GREEN ROAD: At the intersection of Green Rd. and South Woodland Blvd., southbound motorists will be detoured to South Woodland eastbound. At Richmond Rd., motorists will turn south (right) and travel to Chagrin Blvd. At Chagrin, drivers will turn west (right) and continue until they reach Green Rd.
- NORTHBOUND ON GREEN ROAD: At the intersection of Green Rd. and Chagrin Blvd., northbound motorists will be detoured to Chagrin Blvd. eastbound. At Richmond Rd., motorists will turn north (left) and travel to South Woodland. At South Woodland, drivers will turn east (left) and continue until they reach Green Rd.
