Gas Main Replacement: Fairmount Boulevard

Update (April 25)

On Monday, April 29, Dominion's contractor will begin installing a new gas main and service connections on Fairmount Blvd. For the duration of this phase (about four weeks), one of the two eastbound lanes on Fairmount will be closed from Green Rd. to Sulgrave Rd. from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Motorists should anticipate delays.

Update (April 15)

Dominion’s contractor will install a new gas main on Tuesday, April 16. The installation will start at Warrensville Center Rd. (across from the BP Station), then continue westbound around Fairmount Circle to Fairmount Rd. During this work, University Rd. into University Heights will be closed to traffic and the westbound curb lane of Fairmount Rd. will be closed after 9 am. The work will take most of the day and should wrap up by 6 pm.

Original Notice (February 12)

Dominion Energy Ohio will start a major gas main replacement on Fairmount Blvd. between Warrensville Center Road and Courtland Oval.

Work begins Thursday, February 14. The project is expected to take one month (weather permitting).

There will be lane closures and shifts, but at least one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction during the project. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
