SHAKER HEIGHTS (March 15, 2019) – The City of Shaker Heights, Shaker Heights City Schools and Shaker Heights Library host an exciting panel discussion to kick off the Forward Together process at the Shaker Heights High School Large Auditorium, 15911 Aldersyde Drive, from 7– 9pm on Tuesday, March 26.

Forward Together is a process to develop a forward-looking strategy for current and future community facilities. This collaborative project is kicking off with an educational and inspirational speaker panel that brings together thought leaders in the future of cities, libraries and education to share trends and discuss what they mean for the future of our civic assets.

The event begins with light refreshments at 7pm. Opening remarks, short presentations from each panelist and a moderated question and answer session will follow, with opportunity for audience questions. This will be a fun event that brings the community together to learn and start the conversation about the future of Shaker Heights facilities.

Shaker resident Felton Thomas, Jr., Executive Director of the Cleveland Public Library, will moderate the evening, which features three speakers:

  • Terry Schwarz, Director, Kent State University Urban Design Collaborative
  • Evan Struble, Associate State Librarian for Library Development, State Library of Ohio
  • Michele Pomerantz, Director of Regional Collaboration, Cuyahoga County
