Winter in Shaker Heights means snow, sometimes lots of snow. Here’s what you need to know about the City’s snow policies:
- No parking on residential streets when snow exceeds two inches. This allows the City’s plows to efficiently and effectively remove snow from residential streets.
- Residents are responsible for clearing the snow off their sidewalks; however, when snowfall exceeds 6 inches, the City will plow the sidewalks.
- City crews plow streets in the following order: main and secondary streets (e.g. Chagrin and Lomond boulevards), side streets around schools, remaining side streets.
