Use this form to register for a block party. Block parties must be registered at least two weeks in advance. Please note that block parties are subject to visits from your elected officials. A block party is for residents of the street being blocked off (i.e., all residents on the street are invited) and their guests; it is not open to the public; and it is non-sectarian, non-partisan and non-commercial. Block parties are free for residents to attend, although organizers may ask for donations of funds, food and other items to cover the costs of a block party. The City does not block streets for private events or events open to the general public. The City does not provide block party assistance (providing barricades, street sweeping, etc.) for private parties. The person registering for the block party and the contact person for the block party must be a resident of the street. Your request will be confirmed.
- The Mayor and members of Council enjoy engaging with our residents and may drop by your party depending on their availability.
- Please consult the Construction Zone for information on construction projects that may impact your block party.
- In the event the block party is cancelled or rescheduled due to weather, please notify our staff by 11 am on the day of the event. Erin Rose can be reached at erin.rose@shakeronline.com.
