Join us for the Sustainable Shaker Event at The Dealership on Sunday, January 28. Bring the whole family to learn about ongoing efforts to make Shaker a more resilient community. Test-drive an electric car, learn ways to recycle better in 2018, find out how to buy “green” electricity or to save on your sewer bill, and lots more.

— Doan Brook Watershed Partnership (View a model watershed that depicts rain falling across landscapes and picking up pollution)
— NEORSD (Learn how to save on your sewer bill by improving your property's storm water management)
— Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District (Improve how you recycle/reuse/reduce in 2018)
— Drive Electric Northeast Ohio (Your chance to test drive an electric car)
— Shaker Public Works Dept.(Learn about yard waste bag contamination and how to use the ShakeRecycles App)
— Reducing Use of Pesticides
— GCRTA (Learn more about public transportation in Shaker Heights)
— Shaker Library
— Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency/Green Building
— Native Gardening Club (Find out how to add more native plants to your garden)

This is a family friendly event, with something for everyone.

Shaker High students can get ideas for potential IB or Senior Projects on topics like recycling, solar power, electric vehicles, "green" electricity, and stormwater management.
