2018 Street Resurfacing
The City of Shaker Heights Department of Public Works begins the 2018 Street Resurfacing mid-May. The City will install curb ramps compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and will replace select curbs and aprons, as needed. The schedule for work is:
Please note the project schedule is dependent on weather. The general scope of work includes:
Phase I: Removal of existing asphalt pavement
Phase II: Adjustment of catch basin and manholes, replacement of select driveway aprons and
installation of new ADA curb ramps (as necessary)
Phase III: Placement of the asphalt course
Phast IV: Pavement markings
There will be no on-street parking permitted between 7am and 7pm. To avoid delays that could prolong completion of the project, please do not blow leaves or other debris into the street. Advise landscapers of this request.
For your safety, the work site will have signs, barricades and warning lights in place. Please follow the traffic patterns they establish. Also, please help keep neighborhood children safe by warning them about the danger of playing in the construction site or on any of the equipment.
